Youth battered, robbed of shillings 150,000 on his way home

KAKUMIRO

A 22 year old man has survived death narrowly in Kisiita sub county Kakumiro district after being attacked by yet to be identified people on his way back home.

The survivor is Gordon Bright, a market vendor and resident in Kisiita Town Council.

In an interview with our reporters, Gordon revealed that he was attacked at around 7pm last night as he was going back home from Mpasaana trading centre.

Gordon says that three unidentified persons stalked him up to Kyoobu village along Mpasaana-Kisiita road where he was battered.

He suspects that the attackers might be thieves, noting that they fled with 150,000 shillings.

Harriet Katushabe, the aunt to Gordon and a resident of Buhonda village in Kisiita Sub County says that she was informed by the fellow residents who found Gordon in severe conditions at the scene.

She immediately rushed to the scene and took the victim to Rhinamo Medical clinic in Kisiita Town Council where he is currently getting medication.

Meanwhile, Moses Niwataho the victim’s brother challenged fellow youth to shun the night movements noting that even little money can lead to one’s loss of life.
