Unknown Assailants Hack Cattle Keeper To Death

KAKUMIRO

Police in Kakumiro district is hunting for yet to be identified assailants who attacked and hacked to death a local cattle keeper in Nkooko Sub County.

The deceased identified as Stephen Barigye a resident of Lusagazi village, Nkooko Sub County was attacked and hacked to death with a panga by assailants on his way to his home at around 11pm.

Bruno Semyalo the area LC1 Chairperson says that the assailants left the deceased’s motorcycle. He adds that the deceased has no any known grudge with any person in the village.

Police from Kakumiro district lead by  ASP Sauda Bakanansa reached the scene of crime and investigations into the matter have started.

No arrests have so far been made.

She has urged residents to always preserve scenes of such crimes in order to enable police investigations. She has also asked people to provide police with information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspects.

Local leaders including Moses Musinguzi the LC111 Chairperson elect has condemned the act.
