Unidentified Girl child dumped at Mosque in Kagadi

KAGADI
Residents of Kamuseegu village in Bwikara Sub County Kagadi district have recovered a child whose identities have not been ascertained after a girl child was allegedly dumped at the Mosque in Kamuseegu.
According to Godard Tumwebaze, the Bwikara Sub County Chairman, residents found the child sleeping and dumped at the mosque and they decided to take care of her until the current time.
Tumwebaze said they advertised on local sound narrowcasters but no parent turned up to claim for the child.
“This morning (29th November 2022) at around 10am, residents found the girl child dumped at the mosque and we decided to move around with her but no one claimed her. It is suspected that someone came and dumped the child at the mosque,” Tumwebaze told Nettl Media
Tumwebaze further said the child is in good health and that they have no capacity to care for the child as a sub county.
“The child is currently under my care but of course I have no capacity to care for her since she cannot speak well and this child needs parents’ care,” Tumwebaze added.
By press time, Godad was going to make statements at Bwikara Police and Kagadi CPS seeking further help.
He however cautioned parents to be extra vigilant with their children and warned them of negligence which results to child torture and mistreatment.
