Two people narrowly survive being killed by residents over trespass.

KAKUMIRO

Police in Kakumiro District has hold back two people allegedly from the population census department -Kampala from being lynched by an angry mob on allegations of trespass into residents’ property in Kisiita Town council Kakumiro district.

Two ladies whose names have been withheld for security purposes narrowly survived death as they were seen taking photos of  children, houses, gardens, animals among other property of people without any knowledge from either local leaders or District leadership.

The angry residents of Kyangota B village- Kisiita Town Council who wanted to lynch the alleged officials said that it was totally unacceptable for strangers to step on their land without permission from the residents or local leaders due to fear of stealing their land.

One Kyomugisha another resident said that as residents, they were perturbed when they found out that even the person who was leading the alleged officials was from another village.

There was fracas when residents wanted to lynch both ladies and the local defense secretary from another village who was leading them in an area out of his borders.

However, local leaders said that they were not informed about any activity form government.

Meanwhile, Kisiita police station rushed to the scene and saved the situation pending investigations.

The alleged officials were driving a land cruiser vehicle registration number UG 0457F.
