Two bodies discovered dumped near the swamp in Kagadi

KAGADI

Two bodies both for men, have been discovered dumped near Mpamba Swamp along Kagadi-Kikuube-Hoima Road in Kiryane Cell, Kagadi town council, Kagadi district.

This shocking incident happened this morning.

However Joseph Maliseri, a son to late Aramazan Ruboha who was an NRM historical in Kagadi district, confirmed to have recognized the deceased persons as one of their family members.

According to Maliseri, he identified the deceased persons as Clovis Byaruhanga 52 and his son Richard Nyakojo both residents of Kyangwali in Kikuube district.

He says the two were residing on the Land of their late father Aramazan Ruboha in Kyangwali before meeting their death.   

Matia Aguma a son to deceased Clovis Byaruhanga says his late father met his death after he was called by one Deo a son to late Deo Kasiba to pick a cow from Mpefu.

He however says they are still confused about the manner their family members were killed in.

Charles Kagadisa, the Lc1 chairperson for Kiryane cell says they suspect the deceased persons to have been killed from somewhere else and their bodies dumped in Kiryane.

The Albertine Region Police Spokesperson Julius Hakiza says the bodies were discovered in the wee hours of today morning by the conductor of Link buses who alerted the Lc1 vice chairperson for Kiryane cell.

Hakiza suspects the deceased persons could have been murdered and their bodies dumped in the area.

He also said they recovered a Bajaj Motorcycle at the Crime scene which he believes will act as their starting point in making further investigation into the matter.

By press time the bodies of the deceased persons had been taken to Kagadi General Hospital Mortuary pending Postmortem report.
