Residents in Bunyoro region have been appealed to utilize government Hospitals in their home District in a bid to reduce congestion at Hoima Regional Referral Hospital.
The call was made by Williams Donanto Kasigazi the deputy Resident city Commissioner Hoima East Division while witnessing Medical supplies from the National Medical Stores brought to Hoima regional referral Hospital.
Kasigazi says Hoima Regional referral hospital has got a problem of congestion and overcrowding from patients in 10 Districts in Bunyoro region which is affecting the smooth running of the hospital.
He further condemns acts of theft of drugs by some of the health workers at the hospital adding that he is committed to do the supervision and avert the vice.
Paul Ajull, the senior hospital administrator says the hospital ordered for drugs from the National Medical Stores worth 218 million which they have received today adding that drugs have come in the time the hospital had run out of drugs.
He adds that they face a challenge of not receiving drugs they order which he says is affecting services of the hospital.
