The Kabale Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Godfrey Nyakahuma has been hospitalized following injuries sustained after involving in road accident.

According to our sources, RDC Nyakahuma involved in road accident along the Ishaka- Kasese road at Rutoto hill in Rubirizi district and is currently nursing injuries at Kyamuhunga Hospital.

Sources disclosed that Nyakahuma was travelling with his bodyguard and house boy in government vehicle Reg. No. UG 4143C.

It’s alleged that  RDC’s speeding pick-up knocked a Fuso truck that was parked in the middle of the road in a corner.

The RDC’s body guard and house boy are reported to have been critically injured and are in the ICU at Kyamuhunga Hospital

Bron Kikashemeza, the Rubirizi RDC who rushed to the hospital after the accident, told our reporter this morning that Nyakahuma is currently responding to treatment.

He added that however, they are planning to take him to Mbarara regional hospital for further management though the condition is not worrying.
