The Deputy Inspector General of Police DIGP Gen. Paul Lokech has warned those who are planning to storm the streets to demonstrate to leave their homes prepared for all that comes out of their actions.
His message comes just hours after National Unity Platform NUP President Hon Kyagulanyi announced nationwide protests demanding his victory which he says was allegedly stolen away by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Gen Lokech says they have since Monday had sufficient knowledge about planned riots by the opposition but warns that the police is ready to make them lose the appetite.
Lokech says that no amount of intimidation will be overlooked by the police and that no one who tries to disturb the peace of Ugandans.
DIGP Lokech adds that those who are planning to go to the streets should write their wills first before they dare.
Kyagulanyi told the press that he won the January 14th Presidential election with 54.19% the victory he claims was stolen by NRM’s Museveni.
