Parents in Nalweyo Town Council and Kakumiro district at large have been called upon to nurture their children well and educate them in order to maintain their good legacy when they are no longer alive.
The call was made by Rev. Canon Godfrey Buro, the Archdeacon of Kisiita Archdeaconry in Bunyoro- Kitara Diocese, during the burial ceremony of the late Mirisent Kalubanga Nakabugo in Kihonge Cell, Nalweyo town council.
Rev. Can. Buro also urged Christians and mourners to love and have respect for the Almighty God if they want to live longer and inherit His kingdom.
Vincent Kisembo, the Mayor of Nalweyo town council, asked parents to ensure that they send their children back to school now that the term has begun so that they can catch up with their peers.
Meanwhile, Scovia Nakubugo Abwooli, the representative of Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom in Nalweyo town council, called on the Banyoro subjects to embrace and love their culture.
The late Mirisent Nakabugo passed away at the age of 93, succumbing to a stroke.
