Shock and fear gripped Mirambi A LCI, Kihurumba parish of Bwanswa sub county, Kakumiro district on Wednesday after one of the residents was attacked and slaughtered in his house.
The deceased has been identified as Yowasi Kyakora, 40 year-old resident of the same area.
He was allegedly murdered in cold blood in the wee of by suspected assailants who used a pang to slit his neck in his house.
The deceased’s wife identified as Juliet Musiime says that she went with her husband to one of the bars.
However, while at the bar, her husband picked a quarrel with one of the residents identified as God Tumusiime which ended into a fight. His wife chose to sleep at a neighbors place but her husband returned home at around 2am.She was shocked on hearing that he had been killed.
The deceased’s son says that his father returned home at around 2 am in company of another unidentified man. He served them food before retiring to bed. On waking up today morning; they found their father dead with his neck slit. The children suspect that their father was killed by a man whom he came with at night.
The area LCI Chairperson Nyansio Sekyanzi says he mobilized residents, police and swung into action to hunt for the suspected killers. He says the deceased had no any known conflict with anyone in the village.
Police using a sniffer dog was lead to the home of a resident identified as God Tumusiime who has been arrested.
Vicent Sebintu the NRM Chairperson for Bwanswa Sub County has condemned the act and called for thorough investigations of the incident.
