The youth have been advised to always love the church and support its activities if they are to get God’s blessings.
The call was made on Sunday by the Episcopal vicar Kagadi vicariate Msgr. Peter Kabelenge while leading mass at the closure of a three day diocesan spiritual youth seminar at Mugalike Parish in Kagadi district.
He also urged the Christian youth to be a treasure to their parents and lead exemplary lives through living a holy lifestyle.
At the same function, the National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine who communicated on phone to the congregation rallied the youth to join the struggle for change and institute a government that will solve unemployment and improve service delivery through good governance.
The NUP party secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya said the time is now for the youth who constitute the biggest percentage of the Uganda’s population to take charge of the country’s leadership.
He supported the function with 1M cash for buying the uniform for the church choir.
The Buyaga West MP Barnabas Tinkasimire asked the youth to continue supporting the NRM government for its good leadership and economic transformation.
He also challenged the youth to always pay attention to church sermons for spiritual renewal, adding that most youth always concentrate on social media charts on their smart phones during mass thus missing key sermons that would transform their lives.
He supported the function with 2M shillings cash and pledged to always support annual youth conferences with a cow.
Meanwhile, the participants in the conference said the conference has equipped them with knowledge that will transform their lives in social and economic aspects
