KAKUMIRO

Seven land tittles for absentee land lords are to be issued to people in Kakumiro District after being paid by the government.

This was revealed by the Chairperson Uganda land commission Pen-Mogi Nyeko on Wednesday while speaking to the affected people from Galiraya, Butengya and Kalangala in Kibijo Su-county, Kakumiro District.

Nyeko said that their aim is to assure people on transferring land tittles to land owner’s Names and also commended the work done by the area Member of Parliament Bugangaizi East upon this program.

Joseph Sentayi Senkusu, the Kakumiro District Chairman urged people within the land to avoid delaying the land surveyors by sorting out their land conflicts among themselves to ease their work.

The Kakumiro Resident District Commission District Major David Matovu requested people to work hard since the government has already bought land tittles from absentee land lords.

Meanwhile, Aisha Agaba Black the Member of Parliament for Bugangaizi East said that the land commission had paid some of the land titles for people to get ownership on the land.

The Mile land titles will be issued in the areas of Kasozi in Kitahuka Sub County, Mpanga in Kyabasaija Sub County, Butengya, Kalangala and Galiraya in Kibijo Sub County, Rwembuzi in Nkooko Town council and Nakasagazi all in Kakumiro district.
