The Buyaga East Member Parliament who also represents Uganda in the Pan African Parliament Eric Musana has challenged the people of Kagadi district as they enter into the new financial year 2023/2024 to adhere to the new policies set up by the government in fostering economic growth and development in the country.
According to Musana, the new Financial Year will start with new taxes, implementation of government programs such as Parish Development Model program among other programs which the community should embrace so as to enhance development.
Musana was speaking to journalists on the update of the Financial Year ending 30th June 2023 where he made highlights on the developments that were achieved in the constituency during FY 2022/23 and the programs to be implemented the coming FY2023/24.
He added that the community should work hard and engage in programs which will enable them to increase their household incomes.
The legislator expressed that as Buyaga East county, a lot has been implemented during this ending financial year which some of them include the commencement of the construction of King Solomon seed Secondary school in Kagadi S/county, Emyooga SACCOs received funds,Youth groups received the YLP funds, 15 groups received money from Prime minister’s office, all SACCOs received Parish Development Model funds which are due to be launched for use.
He said the PWDs groups also received funds in which Ruzaire produce got shs5 million, Mabaale tailoring shs5 million, Tukole Produce Kamuroza shs5 million among other groups.
Other achievements are the coding and upgrade of Kabamba Health Center two to Health Center Three status and all local and central government roads have been regularly maintained.
Musana said the extension of electricity to different parts of the constituency which is being done in a phased manner is also ongoing.
Musana added that more development programs will also take courses in the constituency next financial year.
