The Buyaga East legislator Eric Musana Acaali challenged parents to interest themselves in educating their children as one way of helping them secure a better future and create a civilized society.
The Pan African Member of Parliament made the call while speaking to residents during the fundraising drive that was held at Kyakadehe primary school premises aiming at raising funds for the construction of school structures.
Musana advised locals to desist from hatred politics which he said is generating is retarding the development of communities and the country.
Musana further acknowledged residents for their hard work hence challenging them to engage in government programs like PDM, Emyooga among others if they are to eradicate poverty from their homes.
Musana contributed over Sh. 3 million towards the drive.
Speaking before the parents, Night Noora Karari, the school headteacher Kyakadehe Primary School said they have an enrollment of only 183 students and 7 teachers on government payroll and one private teacher.
She explained a number of challenges they are facing ranging from understaffing, absenteeism among learners, inadequate infrastructures among others she says are hindering the progress of the school.
Meanwhile parents who spoke to our reporter applauded MP Musana for supporting their drive hence promising to support him in 2026 general elections.
