The Buyaga East County legislator also Uganda’s representative to the Pan African Parliament Musana Eric Acaali on Friday donated relief food to religious leaders of St. Mary’s vicariate and St Luke Church of Uganda Parish as part of the relief towards the affected men of God
Speaking on behalf of the Buyaga East Member of Parliament to journalists on Friday, Mr Adrian Tumwesige the political assistant said that the relief items like Soap, Maize flour, Banana, Cooking Oil, Eggs, salt and Sugar had been given to religious leaders to help them run through the lockdown of worship places.
He (Mr Adrian) asked other well-wishers and those with capacity to donate food to the needy in their communities.
While receiving the relief Items on behalf St. Mary’s Kagadi Vicariate Msgr. Rev, Fr. Peter Kaberenge Akiiki thanked MP Musana for the donation adding that his support came in at a time they needed it most.
Meanwhile, Ven. Rev. Canon Teo Irumba the Archdeacon Kagadi Archdeaconry together with the head of laity Wilson Mr Kyamuhondeire applauded Hon Eric Musana for the relief food.
Catechists have expressed their happiness to the Buyaga East Member of parliament and thanked him for having recognized them as vulnerable people during this lock down.
