The state minister for Kampala and Metropolitan Affairs Joseph Kabuye Kyofatogabye has hailed the leadership of the faith of unity for being supportive to government efforts through encouraging its followers to work hard to eradicate poverty out of their households.
Minister Kyofatogabye made the call last evening while officiating at the children’s day celebrations under the faith of unity believers in an event held at the faith of unity headquarters in Kapyemi Cell Muhorro town council Kagadi District.
Minister Kyofatogabye utilized the same moment to inform the Faith of unity leadership and believers that all efforts by the central government to upgrade the healing city road infrastructure is scheduled to kick off in the 2024/2025 Financial year.
He added that the elevation of the healing city to a national tourism status by the government is also underway asserting that the place is not only a tourist attraction center but also a source of wisdom to the nation and the entire world.
Also in his summon, the Faith of Unity leader Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka commended the Sitting NRM government for freedom of worship and its overwhelming love towards their faith.
He on the other hand congratulated parents and their Children upon reaching this historic day, asserting that this day is very significant in their lives in as far as this religion is concerned
Speaking to Journalists, Omuhereza Asiimwe, one of the children whose mothers were helped to deliver, expressed his excitement and happiness upon coming to life.
The Buyaga west Member of Parliament Barnabas Tinkasimire challenged the faith of unity believers to nurture their children with good morals and ensure that they are born from the hospitals to have good health.
The legislator also condemned the rampant cases of teenage pregnancies which are on the rise where he asked the police to intervene to stop the vice.
Every 2nd of July annually, the believers in the faith of unity celebrate Children’s Day, the day when the founder of faith of unity Owobusosbozi Bisaka healed a woman who had spent two years pregnant in 1982 and later delivered safely.
