Masindi High Court Dismisses All Electoral Petitions

MASINDI

The High court in Masindi on Tuesday dismissed with costs all petitions against the recent Membesr of Parliament elections in Bunyoro region.

The court presided by his worship Sekaana Musana dismissed the petition filed by the former MP Buhaguzi west Dan Muhairwe against Hon Francis Kazini which he claimed that names on his academic documents vary with those used in the elections.

Speaking to the media after the court session legislature Francis Kazini pledged to continue with working for the electorates and requested his opponent to accept the defeat.

The same court has dismissed the petition filed against Hon Dr Joseph Ruyonga the MP Hoima city west division and the electoral commission by Ismail Kasule accusing the two correspondents to have connived in alternating results.  

Joseph Ruyonga says he is glad that he has acquired justice, thanking everyone who has helped him in this struggle.

Meanwhile Kasule Ismail has disagreed with the court ruling adding that he is going to appeal after reading through the judgment.

The same court has dismissed petitions with costs filed against Kibanda South Member of Parliament Hon Jacob Karubanga by Lutanywa Jack Odour, MP Buruli County Akugizibwe Aled by former MP Bintu Jalia and MP Bugangaizi West Josephat Tumwesigye by Lubega George Willy.
