Residents together with Police on Sunday night arrested a man who set his house fire ablaze killing his wife and 3 children.
The suspect, Vian Armstrong 45 a resident of Habutobere Village, Butare Parish in Muko sub county Rubanda district on Saturday night locked his house, torched it leading to the death of his wife and three children.
Those who perished in the fire were Muheki Lovinah 43, her sons Edwin 17, Westlife 15 and a daughter Akira aged 5.
Maate told this reporter on Monday morning that Armstrong who went into hiding after the act was arrested after he called a boda boda cyclist to help him escape to another area.
It is however alleged that the boda boda cyclist informed the Police who disguised as boda boda riders to the place they had agreed to pick him up from and was arrested.
Maate hailed the boda boda cyclist for working together with Police to have Armstrong arrested.
