Link Bus Fire: Property lost in a Passenger Items’ Isuzu Lorry

KYEGEGWA
An Isuzu lorry registration number UBM 728Y belonging to Link Bus Company which was carrying passengers items gutted fire and properties worth millions perished.
Among the items destroyed include motorcycles, Refrigerators, generators, food items like g-nuts and salon items among others.
Reliable sources who spoke to this website disclosed that the incident happened on Tuesday at around 4:00am in Kyasitiri cell located in Kakabara Town Council Kyegegwa district as the vehicle was moving from Kampala to Fort Portal.

Some people were also reportedly seen looting items into their houses.
According to Brian Twanikani the conductor and the driver who declined to reveal his identity, disclosed that they had made a stopover to ease themselves but incidentally they witnessed smoke coming from the vehicle that prompted them to make an alarm.

Joseph Karinte, the LC3 Chairperson Kyatega Sub County who also rushed to the scene warned locals against eating the looted items as they can be possessing some poisons.
