LC3 chairman, 12 others arrested over illegal gang “ababi one family”

Erasmus Ndinaruhanga, the Nyamarunda Sub County LC3 Chairperson has been arrested with other 12 people from his sub-county. 

Detectives from Kibaale Police in Kibaale District arrested and detained Ndinaruhanga today afternoon together with 12 other people reported to be subscribers of the illegal criminal gang of “Ababi one family” that is reported to have been wreaking havoc in villages of Muzizi, Katoma, and Maisuuka in Bujogoro parish of Nyamarunda Sub County.

The office of the Kibaale Resident District Commissioner has told our reporter that Ndinaruhanga is behind the mobilization of the Ababi one family that is purported to be promoting insecurity in the area under the funding of Ndinaruhanga and the area District Councilor Philips Bikora.

RDC Kibaale Godwin Angalia Kasigwa sanctioned a meeting of over 50 people from this group from where he ordered the arrest of the LC3 chairperson Erazmas Ndinaruhanga and other 12 to help with investigations.

By press time this evening, RDC Angalia had sanctioned another meeting at his office involving selected leaders from Nyamarunda Sub County, NFA representative, UPDF representative from Bubango detach, DISO and the DPC over the same matter.

Nettl Media News has understood that after recording a statement at Kibaale Police Station, Ndinaruhanga was released on bond pending investigations.
