It was pomp and glamour as residents and faithfuls welcomed Bisaka to his place of Birth in Kibaale district where leaders said he is the cause Bunyoro region is developing at a high speed.
Godfrey Muwonge, the Kibaale district chairman has attributed the rapid development of Bunyoro and Kibaale district in particular to the teachings of the leader of the Faith of Unity.
He said the faith has promoted peace and co-existence in the region coupled with implementation of the government programs.
Muwonge was attending a function where the Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka was visiting his place of birth in Kitoma Kiboizi, Matale Sub County in Kibaale district.
Godfrey Muwonge,saidin the previous years, people used to fear visiting Kibaale district because of the high crime rates involving cannibalism and tribal clashes but he applauded the faith of unity for ending all these and fostering development.
He alsosaidinvestors have also started investing in the region due to the stability he attributes to the teachings of Bisaka.
Muwonge further said that as Kibaale district Local Government, they have plans of making the place where Bisaka was born a tourism site to ensure that his legacy benefits the community and the district.
He said measures to have the place gazetted had commenced.
“Our Village Kitoma where Bisaka was born is blessed and we are asking government to put a monument in recognition of the Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka,” Lydia Katusabe, Chairperson Lc3 Matale said
Muwonge tasked the people in Kibaale and Bunyoro to focus on peace and shun divisionism based on tribe and language.
The Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, leader of the Faith if Unitysaidhis ancestry can be traced in Kitoma Kiboizi in Matale Sub County and Karama Sub County in Kibaale district because all his grand grand parents were all rested in these places.
Bisaka applauded the president of the republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for fostering peace and development in the country.
Bisakasaidwithout the peace brought about by the NRM government, development becomes history.
On the same ceremony, the Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka confirmed and welcomed 2,600 new faith believers while over 200 also converted to the Faith of Unity.
Owobusobozi Bisaka was born on 11th June 1930 in Kitoma Kiboizi, Kibaale district and started the faith in 1980 and it is now 43 years while this faith is peace, unity and development.
