Residents of Bwikaragye ward in Kisiita town council Kakumiro district have got a reason to smile after their roads got rehabilitated.
The road under rehabilitation connects villages Kyekado to Bwikaragye and Rwenswa.
Speaking to our reporter shortly after the commencement of rehabilitation work, residents expressed how the impassable roads have been affecting prices on agricultural products and other services in their area.
They have applauded their District and parish councilors and Kisiita town council stakeholders for quick response in as far as rehabilitating of their road is concerned.
Michael Alindwamukama, the district councilor for Kisiita town council expressed his readiness to deliver services to the locals.
Alindwamukama is asking residents to be patient as they wait for more services including piped water, noting that they have already engaged with Water and Sewerage Corporation Ministry officials.
Meanwhile, Elly Bagamba the Kisiita town clerk says as the town council, they don’t have enough funds to rehabilitate all the roads at once but they will be worked upon at a gradual process.
He unveiled the roads they are rehabilitating including the Kyapa-Rwenswa road, Stretch from the All Saints church passing through Bad street-Kisiita Health Center III, Kyentale-Nyakafunjo and among others in the first phase.
