Kagadi Secondary Teacher found Sitting Dead in his Bedroom

Bwomezi has been the Chairperson Board Mabaale HCIII, a talented Master of Ceremonies and part-time secondary teacher teaching Commerce, English and Biology.

Stanley Bwomezi, 35, resident of Nyaburungi village in Mabaale Town Council Kagadi district has been found dead in his bed room nearly a day after he was sighted in the Trading Centre.

Bwomezi who has been a part-time teacher to most secondary schools in Kagadi teaching Commerce and English was found sitting dead and the head resting on the pillow on his bed on Wednesday morning.

He has been staying in the house alone.

According to the relative only identified as Mrs. Robert, the deceased recently brought to her all land agreements and warned her of the land grabbers that have become common.

“He came to me with all the land agreements and he told me that no one who should disturb me on my land, and he left,” Mrs. Robert said

She however said Bomezi has been a regular drunkard and that sometimes he would use narcotics.  

Eric Sunday, also a relative, warned residents especially the youth to desist from too alcohol saying that Bwomezi’s death could have resulted from the too much liquor he has been taking without control.

Residents said he was last seen in the trading Centre dressed in shorts and a T-shirt but he later disappeared only to be informed that he had been found dead in his bedroom.

“We were with him at night (Tuesday) in our trading Centre but he later went without saying bye to us which was not his usual character. But in the morning (Wednesday) I saw a child coming to call me that Bwomezi had died,” a neighbor disclosed.

Brian Wadiga, the Mabaale Post Station Officer in Charge said once the postmortem report is out, investigations shall also kick off to ascertain conditions under which the deceased died from.

Wadiga warned residents of too much alcohol and also staying in the house alone without anyone who would help in case of any emergency.

He however handed over the body to relatives for burial.

The deceased has survived with one wife who also divorced 4 years ago.
