Kagadi district education department ranks her schools’ performance, Sese Primary School Named the Worst performer in the 2020 PLE results in Kagadi

KAGADI

Sese primary school a government aided primary school found in Kagadi Sub County has been named as the worst performing school in Kagadi District in the recently released 2020 Primary Leaving Examinations.

This was unveiled by the Inspector of schools Kagadi District Mr Julius Alinda while briefing the media on rankings on performance per school the Primary Leaving Examinations performance at Kagadi Model primary School in Kagadi Town council Kagadi District.   

Mr Alinda said that the poor performance was geared by parents who were not cooperative with teachers and the school management especially during lockdown to help learners study at home.

Sese primary school had 15 candidates with zero 1st grades, zero 2nd grades, two in 3rd grade, two in 4th grade and 8 ungraded while three missed.

However, Mr Alinda said that the 2020 general performance was better as compared to 2019 with an improvement from 262 1st grades in 2019 to 325 1st grades in 2020.

Mr Alinda said that the best candidate in the district Joseph Ssengendo scored 5 aggregates from United Parents Primary School in Kyanaisoke Sub county followed by Benedict  Akankunda, Ronnie Mugisa, Dominic Bongomin who scored 6 aggregates from Canaan Christian P/S, Excel Model Mabaale P/S and Mother care primary school respectively.

Mr Alinda disclosed that the best school in Kagadi district for the 2020 PLE was Destiny primary school which scored 3.63 points followed by United Parents primary school with 3.56 points and Mother care Primary school with 3.50 points.

He cautioned parents to continue keeping their children safe during this lockdown until schools reopen.

He requests different stakeholders to combine efforts in improving the performance of their schools.
