With only two days remaining to the deadline for nomination of candidates, Kagadi district aspirants vying for different political seats have decried and expressed dissatisfaction to the electoral commission of Uganda over the short time allocated to them for nomination yet the process was long.

This has prompted the Kagadi District NRM chairman Ali Mulumba to come out and rally for more efforts to flag bearers in order for them not to miss the nomination process.

At the nomination Centre in Kagadi Town Council, a long cue of aspirants was seen with some being asked to go back after they missed to fulfill the required steps.

Ndibwami B. Yosia the Kagadi District LCV flag bearer says that they can’t afford missing out being nominated yet they have been promising voters a number of issues to be handled after assuming power which he says is through the independent electoral commission.

Others say that the process has been long to fulfill with in the few days allocated to them.

Robert Twikirize the Kagadi district returning officer says that they have received quite a big number but they are working around the clock to finish them all by the close dates of 1st October 2020.

Kagadi district has 4 contestants for the LCV seat but only two have been nominated with others still under the process to procure the required documents for nominations.
