KIBAALE

Jamil Tumusiime station manager Karuguuza development Radio (KDR) in Kibaale district has been elected New President for Bunyoro south Journalists Association (BUSOJA)

BUSOJA is an association that unites registered journalists in Kibaale greater

Jamil Tumusiime who passed through unopposed replaces Ismael Kasooha who had served in the same capacity for two years

This happened this evening during the BUSOJA annual General meeting held at starlight hotel in Karuguuza town, Kibaale town council, Kibaale district

Journalists further re-endorsed Timothy Tumwebaze of New Vision group based in Kagadi district as their General Secretary.

Vincent Tumuramye of Paradigm Radio Kagadi also passed through unopposed on the position of Publicity 

In his remarks Jamil Tumusiime the New BUSOJA Chairperson, extended his sincere appreciation to journalists for entrusting him with the Seat of Presidency.

He promised to serve and deliver BUSOJA to great heights.

However Journalists further elected other members on two competitive positions

They included vice president and treasurer

In an election presided over by Edward Asiimwe administrator Paradigm institute, Candidate Caroline Tumwesige of Emambya Radio Kakumiro district was declared winner as the new BUSOJA vice President after defeating Susan Abigaba freelancer with 30 votes out of 18 votes

Asiimwe further declared Kyaiswa Moses Bilowoozo editor KBS Radio Kagadi as the new BUSOJA treasurer after defeating Mugisa Allegro unity of KKCR Kagadi with 29 votes out of 17 Votes

The function was graced by MP’s, invited guests, civil servants, NGO representatives, local politicians among others
