Disagreements between residents of Bigando village Buraru sub county Hoima District and casual laborers from Hoima Sugar factory has left one injured and four goats killed.
Speaking to this website the Chairperson Bigando village Norbert Balikenda says disagreements erupted at around 2:00am today morning when Anthony Mugabi and his company, all residents in Bigando village allegedly hacked Daniel Tubo, one of the casual laborers from Hoima Sugar factory in a bar fight.
Balikenda adds that this has resulted in an attack from the casual laborers who are mostly Karamanjongs.
He has condemned bar operators in his area adding that they are the key people in promoting insecurity in the area.
Simon Ngiiro, one of the casual workers, says their fellow was hacked at around in the night adding that it has infuriated them causing an attack to the residents.
Patrick Rusoke the district councilor Buraru Sub County and the chairperson works and technical services Hoima District has condemned the act and asked residents to learn how to stay peacefully with the casual laborers of Hoima Sugar factory.
ASP Albert Pemason the OC operations Hoima Police requests residents to remain calm adding that the hunt for the suspects is ongoing.
