Electoral Commission prepares for Women Councils elections, calls for further civic education

Stakeholders in the Albertine region have been argued to mobilize, sensitize, inform and update the people in their respective Districts on the nationwide verification exercise of administrative units and conduct of women councils and committees’ elections.

This was unveiled by Ahmed Ochama the head of Department, voter Data management in the electro commission in a regional stakeholder’s workshop on verification of administrative units that was held on Thursday at Hoima Resort Hotel in Hoima city.

The meeting involved Chairpersons LCV’s, DPC’s, Chief Administrative Officers, RDC’s and other stakeholders in all Districts in Bunyoro region.

Ochama calls for maximum participation of stakeholders in regarding this electro exercise.

Sulaiman Kato the Albertine regional elections Officer say 22^nd August 2022, elections of women councils will be held hence calling for civic education on the electoral process by the stakeholders.
