Council approves motion of gov’t to take over school

KAKUMIRO

Councilors in Kisiita town council Kakumiro district have approved a motion for the government to takeover Kyentale Faith Home of Champion’s Nursery and Primary School in Kyabalitwa Ward.

During the Council session presided over by the town council speaker Hon. Isah Muchunguzi last evening at Kisiita town Council hall, councilors narrated that the school has all the facilities that make it qualify to be taken over by the government.

The council also approved the slaughter fee of shs20,000 to those who will be slaughtering cows in the town council.

According to speaker Muchunguzi, shs10, 000 will be for town council and the other for the veterinary doctor.

The council also resolved to chase domestic animals such as goats and cows in town.

Aston Tumushabe, the Kisiita town council mayor, advised residents to keep their animals from loitering in town noting that they cause accidents.

Also Michael Alindwamukama, the district councilor for Kisiita town council asked fellow councilors and mayor to work upon the hygiene issues in town and building of the corridors.

Meanwhile, in an interview with our reporter, councilors welcomed the resolutions saying that they are to benefit the locals.
