Bunyoro Youth Advised to Shun Political Prostitution and Embark on Gov’t Programs

KAGADI

Over 3,000 youth from eight districts of Bunyoro sub-region have completed a four day youth conference at Mugalike Catholic deanery-Hoima Catholic Diocese and urged to shun political propaganda and embark on economic activities to alleviate poverty.

The above followed political donation of sh1m by the National Unity platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobie Winne presented on his behalf by David Lewis Rubongoya the NUP Secretary General  and sh2m from Buyaga West MP Tinkasiimire Barnabas today which caused commotion during the closure of a four day Bunyoro youth conference held at Mugalike catholic parish in Kagadi Vicariate-Hoima catholic Diocese.

Rev. Fr. Lawrence Mandela, the Hoima Diocesan Youth Chaplain condemned acts of politicking during holy sacrifice of mass in church which he said diverts the minds of Christians. He clarified that Minister of State for transport Fred Byamukama who had been invited as chief guest at the closure of Bunyoro youth conference declined to turn up after learning of NUP leader’s presence at the function.

Msgr Peter Kaberenge the episcopal Vicar Kagadi Vicariate challenged the youth to desist from free things and immoral acts but embrace government programs and other productive activities aimed at alleviating poverty at household level

Barnabas Tinkasiimire, the Buyaga West MP who donated sh2m to the youth urged the youth to continue supporting NRM and President Museveni until his death. He clarified that NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobbie Wine travelled abroad to support the interests of Europeans like Homosexuality.

 “I want you the youth to continue supporting president Museveni until his death. Robert Kyagulanyi the president of NUP went abroad to support issues of Homosexuality therefore not a good leader” MP Barnabas said

Youth leaders and Participants from 8 Bunyoro districts of Hoima, Kikuube, Masindi, Buliisa, Kiryandongo, Kagadi, Kibaale, Kakumiro led by Assumpta Atuhura thanked Hoima catholic diocese for organizing the conference saying they have learnt spiritual, economic and lifestyle issues which will help them to better persons.
