Boda Boda’s in Kagadi decry losses following the total lock down

KAGADI

Boda Boda riders in Kagadi town council have asked money lending institutions to first halt the loans interests following the total lockdown declared by President Museveni as a measure to curb down the spread of COVID 19.

While addressing the nation on Friday on 18 June 2021 President Yoweri Museveni directed Boda Boda riders to carry only cargo, sick people and they should stop at 5:00pm for 42 days.

Speaking to journalists this morning in Kagadi Town, Boda Boda riders in have decried of the immense losses saying it is very difficult for them to transport cargo only and meet the costs of paying the loans and their families.

Boda Boda riders request political leaders to help them and talk to money lenders, mostly the Tugende a renowned bodaboda lending institution which has not stopped demanding for money even after the country went into lockdown.

They further request for relief food from political leaders adding that they lack what to eat.
