The Bishop of Hoima Catholic Diocese Rt. Rev Vincent Kirabo Amooti confirmed 380 Christians at St. Peter’s Bwikara Catholic Parish into the catholic faith.

Speaking to the congregation that had gathered at St. Peters Catholic Church in Bwikara Sub county Kagadi district on Sunday, Bishop Kirabo challenged the Confirmed Christians to stick to Jesus Christ and grasp the ten commandments of God if they want to be good followers.

He also urged Christians to strengthen their faith in the families through preaching to children about God.

Bishop Kirabo commended the Priests, Parish council and Christians for working together towards developing the church.

He said he needs development among Christian families so as to manage in fulfilling basic needs rather than spending much time in Alcoholism.

Bishop Kirabo expressed that he recently developed a campaign of growing coffee among Christians in the diocese which he explains that for him he has One acre of coffee plantation where he is harvesting over 20 sacks, thus advising everyone to embrace the message so as to foster development in the communities.

He pledged to bring them a number of visitors from the Mbarara Ecclesiastical province with a purpose of monitoring development activities being done by Christians in the parish.

Meanwhile, on Monday May 15th, Bishop Kirabo will bless the newly constructed St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the Kagadi district woman Member of Parliament Janepher Kyomuhendo Mbabazi is expected to be the chief guest.
