Nearly three months after the demise of the Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, rumors and speculations of what next to the believers had spread and all eyes on who would lead them in their new era.
Owobusobozi Bisaka died on 13th January 2021 a day before the presidential elections in Aghakan Hospital Nairobi Kenya and his body was preserved for future viewing and reference in his multi billion Mansion in Muhorro Town council Kagadi district.
After the demise of the initiator and leader of the faith of unity a religious belief with headquarters in Muhorro Town council Kagadi district in Western Uganda Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, believers have been rubbed off their tears after the committee sat and chose Bisaka’s last born to take over his father’s role of leading the faith.
Omukwenda Akugizibwe Bisaka born in 1977 now in his early 40s is the last born in Bisaka’s family and he has been on several occasions the driver of the Toyota V8 of his father Owobusobozi Bisaka for a long time during visits.
Omukwenda Akugizibwe who was crowned the Leader of the faith of unity in the world and also the controller and administrator of the wealth of the faith is also the family head and administrator of the properties and riches of the family-heir.
On 27th of March 2021, Omukwenda Akugizibwe was made the new leader of the faith of unity.
According to Omukwenda Mugisa who read the roles of the new leader at the official enthronement in Kisozi Bukwenda Kampala, Omukwenda Akugizibwe is not the heir or successor as some may take it but he is just the administrator because he (Akugizibwe) has not inherited the powers to heal the sick as his father used to do.
“I want to make this clear. Omukwenda Akugizibwe Bisaka is not an heir nor a successor of Bisaka. He is just an administrator and a leader of the believers of the faith of unity in the world and also manager of the wealth of the faith of unity. He is not going to perform the duties of his father Owobusobozi Bisaka like healing and others. Do not go saying that the faith of Unity has got another god. NO” Said Omukwenda Mugisa.
Omukwenda Akugizibwe will also perform the duties of linking the faith of unity and government agencies.
In his inaugural speech, Omukwenda Akugizibwe, now the new leader of the faith of unity said that he was closely working with his father and that his father used to guide him in all he did.
“I used to be with my father in most cases and he sometimes told me that do your work perfectly not knowing that he was orienting me for this big seat” said Akugizibwe.
He (Omukwenda Akugizibwe) further said that his father will continue to perform his roles as he used to do and opposed allegations that his father (Owobusobozi Bisaka) died and that he has been appearing to his people on several occasions even after his body went lifeless.
“Owobusobozi Bisaka still appears to his people, therefore, those who say that Bisaka died are wrong because he recently appeared to one of the believers in Kenya” said Omukwenda Akugizibwe.
Omukwenda Akugizibwe applauded the NRM government for allowing his father’s perform his spiritual duties while on earth and also allowing their faith to operate in the country as its headquarters.
Omukwenda Mbabbali of Kampala Bukwenda said that the faith in Kampala started with only one Kanzu and in 1991 Kampala was given one Bukwenda with 3 worshiping places (Matambiro) of Mujunwa in Mubende, Binikira in Kasanda and Nakulabye in Kampala but he said that the faith has grown to 5 Bukwenda with over 300 worshiping places (Matambiro) in Buganda.
Mbabbali was pastoring a born again church in Kampala called “BAGOLE BA YESU”
Like their norm was, believers will continue to kneel down for both the new leader and the seat of Owobusobozi Bisaka that will remain vacant for his soul meaning that the new leader will be given his official seat.
The new leader will also have body guards like his father was and his Kanzu will be different from those of Bakwenda and Bahereza.
Omukwenda Akugizibwe will be the official signatory of all the bank accounts of the faith and he is the chief signature appender on all official communications from the faith secretariat.
