Bahizi Paul was killed by thugs, says security

Security has confirmed that the late Paul Bahizi Rutabagisha who was the assistant district health officer for Kagadi was killed by thieves.
This was revealed last evening by the resident district commissioner for Kagadi, Kamukama Kaine Nicholas during his burial ceremony at his ancestral home in Nyamigisa village, Burora Sub County Kagadi district.
Paul Bahizi’s Body was on Saturday morning found dumped in the opposite Gaddafi Mosque in Fort portal Tourism city.
Addressing thousands of mourners, RDC Kamukama said that Bahizi was murdered by thieves in one of the dark spots within Fort portal city.
Kamukama says the joint security of Kagadi and Fort portal have so far arrested three prime suspects as only one who is their leader is still on the run.

In his summon before mourners, Hon. Barnabasi Tinkasimire the Buyaga west MP vowed to follow up the matter and provide the necessary legal support so that justice to the late Bahizi’s family prevailed.
He committed to sponsor the education of one of the Late Bahizi’s daughters from S.4 up to University.
Also addressing mourners, Mathias Ndifuna the Kagadi Chief Administrative Officer condemned the act in which their staff lost his life.
He said Bahizi left at a time when the district and government wanted his services most.
The Late Bahizi who holds a master’s degree in Public Health by the time of his death had served in various capacities including Senior Health Inspector Kyenjojo District, Assistant DHO Ibanda District and later in 2019 he joined Kagadi district Local Government serving in the same position.
Late Bahizi who died at the age of 53 survived with 15 children and a wife.
