There was Pomp and color in Kagadi town –Kagadi District today as born again and Pentecostal Christians welcomed the archBishop Born-Again Pentecostal churches in Uganda Dr. Moses Odongo who asked Christians to shun over relying on prayers but balance with economic activities to create wealth at household level.
Born again and Pentecostal Christians from over 10 districts in western Uganda held a two day evangelical crusade and economic seminar at Kagadi Pentecostal revival church in Kagadi town council under the theme: ‘’Fear Not and Work Hard’’
Bishop Kamywa Emmanuel from Kampala Pentecostal church, the chief preacher who later represented arch Bishop Dr. Moses Odongo at the closure of the seminar advised Christians to desist from concentrating on only prayers but also economic development and embrace government programs.
Pastor Ibrahim Magezi, the Head of inter-religious council Kagadi who doubles as a leader of Pentecostal revival church Kagadi and Pastor Sam Muhumuza of Hoima Pentecostal churches asked Christians to desist from worshiping human beings who can die but worship the almighty living God who never dies. He also urged Christians to embark on economic activities and alleviate poverty.
Meanwhile Participants from over 10 churches who received free gifts of brand new loudspeakers thanked the archBishop for the donation and promised to use them effectively especially through disseminating spiritual values and government programs.
Over 500 Pentecostal Christians received Jesus Christ as their savior and promised to abide by Bible scriptures and live exemplary lives.
