Agriculture Ministry trains extension workers on use of new E-extension App

KAGADI
The ministry of Agriculture, Animal husbandry and fisheries have trained the Kagadi district production team on E-extension tool an application that will enable extension workers to report emergencies like diseases using internet.
The training was held at Kagadi district council hall in Kagadi Town.
Joseph Oke from the Ministry of Agriculture said the Application that is phone based will help extension staff to send their reports on time and it will improve service delivery.
Joseph said the E-extension tool will provide farmers with information about production, processing and market.
He said this will also help farmers to boost production, improve quality of produce and make more profits.

The MAAIF E-Extension system showcases agricultural training videos in local languages, Profile information for key stake holders in the agriculture sector, Weather advisory, Crises and Outbreaks information from all over Uganda.
