A 40year old widow in Kyakijuto Village Kisiita Sub county Kakumiro district is stranded, crying for authorities’ help over people demanding her debts they claim that her late husband left un cleared.

The widow has been identified as Joventa Kabibi, the wife of the late Josephat Muramuzi, a former LC1 Chairperson of Kalama Village who passed on a few days ago.

In an interview with our reporter, Kabibi narrated that some people are claiming debts which her late husband never informed them about before his death, noting that they are even threatening to chase her from her house.

Kabibi is therefore asking for the authority’s intervention into the matter for her rescue.

Expedito Ainebyona, the victim’s step son says that his father neither left a debt notice behind nor informed them about un-cleared debt before he died.

He wonders why the claimants are showing up now yet they were supposed to claim for their debts during the burial ceremony.

Meanwhile, Byabaluko Joseph, the Chairperson for greater Kyakijuto has advised the family members to stay calm and wait for complaints to report the matter to his office.

Our reporter tried to contact some of the accused for a comment but all in vain since all their known phone numbers were unavailable.
