Residents of Kisiita South in Kisiita town council have been thrown into shock after a 40year old man committed suicide by hanging himself.
The deceased has been identified as Sunday Cleophus 40, a resident of Kachwampare/ Kisiita south cell, Kisiita Town council in Kakumiro district.
According to Gloria Tumushabe, a wife to the deceased, she and the deceased last evening (Monday) went to the nearby trading center (Mukachwampare) and had a drink together but upon reaching home he started quarrelling.
She says that after she ignored him, he decided to move outside where the wife and the children found him hanging dead at the door of his house at around midnight.
She furthermore narrates that the deceased has been a rioter mostly after taking alcohol.
The neighbors talking to our reporter noted that the deceased and his wife had a long standing misunderstandings resulting from one God whom they suspect to have been having an affair with his wife alleging that even the last born is not his, a thing that may have triggered his death.
Polito Tumwesigye, the chairperson of Kisiita south cell said that the deceased was not on good terms with his wife Tumushabe asserting that he also reported them to Kisiita police when the deceased was threatening to kill them.
Tumwesigye adds that the deceased accused the wife of infidelity hence threatening to put the whole house ablaze.
He however called upon the residents to also report to their leaders before taking such disastrous decisions.
By press time the Kisiita police had reached the scene to ascertain the situation.
