35-Year Old-Man dies after was assaulted by suspected thieves

Shock and grief have this morning rocked up residents of Kihumuro LCI in Ruyonza Sub County Kyegegwa district after a man reported to be 35 years-old died after sustaining deep cuts on the head, neck that were inflicted on him by unknown assailants.
Charles Mugyenzi, the local council one chairperson Kihumuro LC1 has identified the deceased as Benard Turyamureba of the same residence.
He said Benard Turyamureba (now deceased) was coming from the party somewhere at around 6:00am today morning about few metres towards his home, he met some people carrying sucks of Cassava and banana as he tried to confront them by questioning them where they had got the items, they turned against him by cutting him using a pang which was recovered at the crime scene.
Mugyenzi said that the deceased was cut several times and he was rushed to Bujubuli health Center III in Nkanjja sub-county where he breathed his last.
He condemned Police for not responding quickly amidst the arrest of one suspect who is reportedly to be admitted at Nkanjja Health Center III.
Shocked residents condemned the rampant acts of theft in their area as they also expressed their dissatisfaction with Police response to emergencies.
At about 10minutes to noon, Police from Bujubuli under the command of the O/C Easther Namanya visited the scene and were chased away by angry locals.
