Police on Tuesday arrested 123 individuals for breaching Covid-19 standard operating procedures in Hoima City.
The operation involved a joint security team that was led by the OC operations Hoima Police ASP Albert Pemason which traversed most of the areas of Hoima City.
Samuel Kisembo Araali the Resident City Commissioner who serves as the Chairman Covid-19 task force said they have received concerns that most of the people are not following the standard operating procedures which has resulted to the operation.
Kisembo said all the people arrested have been tasted Covid-19 and soon the results will be unveiled adding that 123 people have been arrested amongst them 19 were women and one juvenile.
Josam Tumwebaze the Resident District Commissioner has urged people to follow the standard operating procedures in a bid to fight the spread of Covid-19.
He added that people should learn how to leave in the new norm of Covid-19 pandemic.
